Turn on the power supply.
Listen for clicks in the power supply (the power supply will make a clicking noise every time the internal timer activates, causing the robot to reverse or change direction). Can you here the clicking?
If Yes: Bring the robot close to the water line. Observe that the water is coming out of one side of the jet valve.
As the power supply clicks, the water should come out of the opposite end of the jet valve.
- If this is happening, check the pool conditions. Perhaps the robot is getting caught in a slope and the valve spring is not able to switch.
- If this is not happening, then debris may be in the jet valve and will need to be cleaned out. To clean the jet valve, rinse the insides of the valve with a garden hose.
