My Unit Will Not Turn On

My rechargeable unit, such as the Catfish, Max, Centennial, will not turn on. What do I do?

  • My unit will not turn on. What do I do?
    • Have you tried charging the unit for 4 hours?
      • If unit still does not turn on after charging for 4 hours, try to charge the unit for a full 6 hours - especially if the unit is more than 1 year old. 
      • The average lifespan of the batter is 3-5 years. If the unit is between 3-5 years old, the battery may need to be replaced. 
      • If you have left your unit plugged in for more than 24 hours it may have caused damage to the battery and the battery will need to be replaced. 
        • Check your unit's manual for the warranty. If still within warranty, you can have your unit repaired free of charge. Outside of warranty, fees may apply. Contact our customer service at 1 800-298-8800 or www.wtrma.com  to begin a warranty claim. 
          • Please note that all warranty claims require a valid proof of purchase. 

 

    • How did you store the unit?
      • It is recommended that all units be stored indoors or in a covered area, such as a pool house, shed, or garage. Extreme heat, cold, or exposure to elements like rain or snow can damage the battery or unit and make it inoperable. 
      • It is also recommended that the unit is charged intermittently in the off-season or while not in use, especially if the unit it more than 1 year old. 
  • My unit will not charge. What do I do?
    • Do you see any lights on the charger?
      • If you do not see any lights on the charger, there is most likely an issue with the motor box and it will need to be replaced.
